Rohrwerke produce a wide range of plastic
and steel tubes for diverse applications in the
electrical, machine-building and automotive
industry.

Great increases in capacities called for
a rationalization of steel tube painting, thus
aiming at a reduction of changeover times
and the conversion to full automation.
     
 

There are two dipping tanks at choice for
painting the tubes of the most varying lengths.
These are particularly considering the customized
paint quality: an own heating and cooling system
as well as special circulation and filter devices
warrant for the paint quality required.
A specifically designed material handling (basket)
system allows to pick up all possible tube sizes
and to transport them automatically through the
line from the feeding to the discharge station.

The complete line is hermetically sealed from the
painting to the cooling station in order to avoid bad
smells. Most of the air in the interior is exchanged via a suction and fresh-air system.
